Before submitting a proposal you need an ESO User Portal account
The ESO User Portal is an interface connecting ESO and its user community. Within this system, account information (username, password, contact information) for all science and observations related web-based applications unified, and user-controllable. It is intended to make the use of ESO web applications simpler, and more manageable. For instance, the User portal credentials can be used to assess the web-tool p1 for the proposal preparation and p2 for preparing the observations after the proposal approval.
Please be reminded that the Principal Investigator and all Co-Investigators must have an ESO User Portal Account. You can register at www.eso.org/UserPortal
If you are willing to participate to the ESO Distributed Peer Review (DPR), it is very important that you identify the keywords provided by the systems, that characterize at best your scientific profile. Those keywords will be used for the proposal-referee matching in the DPR. The better the scientific profiles are described, the closer will be the match.
